Winter is upon us and rats are finding warm places to stay in our homes and gardens. Drop into the Maich Road Community Garden this Saturday for your free rat trap and advice for dealing with these pests!

Chat with a Conservation Advisor and learn how to control pests in your own backyard, plus get a free rat trap and pest trapping resources to take home.
This is a drop-in event, please feel free to come along anytime between 10am and 1pm.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
