Join us next week from Monday 26 September for SPCA Treat Week, the sweetest event of the year! With your help, we’ll raise vital funds and awareness for our furry (and non-furry!) friends and have a whole lot of fun doing it.

Treat Week is an evolution of SPCA's traditional Cupcake Day (why not have a whole week of treats?) and we’d love for you to celebrate it your way. Raise funds by hosting a morning tea with your friends, treating your pets to something special, or selling your own delicious creations! Best of all, you will be making a real impact, as every dollar raised helps SPCA rehabilitate animals to give them a second chance at life.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
