Sponsor a Child for Music Lesson
Hey lovely neighbours,
Near the end of Term 1 this year, I put two of my wonderful itinerant teachers in a local Decile 1 primary school. A school such as this with wonderful children & kind supportive staff has really touched my heart and I know that it is a real struggle for families here to afford these special extra-curricular activities that would actually really benefit and support the wider learning of the child.
Some families are sharing a lesson with 2 children in the lesson rather than the 1 on 1 that would be a lot more beneficial just to make it possible for their children to have the lesson. There is a small number of families that have paid weekly amounts for 4 weeks to afford the term 2 fees, and 6 of the incredible staff are sponsoring some children out of their own pockets. There are some wonderfully, musically gifted kids at this school that will miss out unless I can get sponsorship for them. Currently, one of the sponsored children is a lovely Year 8 girl who has said it is her Dream to learn the piano. That is what I aspire to do in asking for sponsorship, fulfil the dream of a child that wouldn't get this opportunity otherwise.
So I thought I'd put it out to the community as well, I am not a charity but I just have a love for children and really want to give this opportunity to some really special children at this school.
If you are interested, please do contact me via phone or email. You can verify this is a genuine request by checking my website, (school I'm speaking about here is not listed on my website) or also by contacting the teacher in charge at this school which I will gladly give details to you if you contact me.
Thank you for your time

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
