Reggio Emilia-inspired early learning centre
Peacocks is a purpose-built early learning centre that provides education and care for children aged between 3 months and 5 years old.
What makes us different?
- Inquiry learning inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy
- A place for discovery, investigation and exploration
- Passionate, innovative teachers
- A purpose built Atelier to enhance creativity and learning
- Mainly organic healthy meals prepared by our on-site chef
The building:
- Is an environmentally sustainable building, worthy of a Green Star rating
- The indoors is built of recycled concrete. Light is created by ninety solar panels and rainwater is recycled and harvested for toilet use.
- A custom-built floor-to-ceiling aquarium (six metres high) exhibits freshwater fish which creates learning opportunities and ambience for the children. It is the largest tank in Auckland, apart from Kelly Tarltons.
