One more week left to view current exhibitions
Kia ora koutou katoa,
We currently have 4 exhibitions on at the Depot with only one more week to view them in person at the Gallery before they end next Wednesday 22 December.
Linda Gair's exhibition speaks on several topical issues including issues relating to the effects of urbanisation on our local environment.
The Members Show is an eclectic showcase of a wide range of artists with over 250 artworks all priced $250 and under.
Rhea Maheshwari is a young contemporary artist currently exhibiting her body of work which explores geometric abstraction as a method to frame transcendental ideas.
And last but not least, our very own resident artist Robyn Gibson's highly anticipated exhibition with a new body of work looks at product worship, consumer behaviour, and contrived marketing environments in the perfect world of need and seduction.
Hope to see you soon!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
