Waste management service

Brian from Laingholm

We have a paid rubbish collection from the above company. Our service is now on a Thursday instead of Monday. On Friday got a text saying it would be delayed and collected a day late, ha its already a day late. Was outside after work and down comes the rubbish truck. He drove straight past the bin across the road who has the same service. Normally as our road is a loop he would collect one side then turn around and do the other. I waited and saw the truck drive off at the other end of the road. I immediately contacted waste management. Was told the driver will be back and collect the bins. This didn't make sense and I explained why would the driver go around the block 3 times instead of 2. I was assured it would be back. It wasn't, all I can think is they drove around the block so the GPS looked like the street had been done. The office is closed today (Saturday). So now we are still stuck with a full bin untill next week.
Another time they missed the bin collection the first person I spoke to said it would be collected next day due to operations issue. When that didnt happen contacted again and the second person reakoned I put it out late, that was incorrect as I had left early that day and the first person had already said what the issue was. Asked for a credit, never got it of course. Really p####s me off.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
