Adults Learn to Sew, Thursday's | 7:00-8:30pm

10-week course | 20th July - 21st September

Join us at Highbury House in Term 3 for an exciting opportunity to discover the art of sewing. This course is specifically designed for absolute beginners, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for you to learn and grow.

Throughout the 10-week program, each class will focus on teaching fundamental sewing skills. Starting from the basics, you will gradually develop your expertise and confidence. Our aim is to empower you to create your own beautiful items, which you can proudly take home after each session.

No need to worry about bringing your own sewing machine, as we will provide them for your convenience. However, if you have your own machine and prefer to use it, kindly inform us in advance. Additionally, you have the option to purchase your own materials, ensuring that your creations reflect your personal style and taste.

During this course, you will learn a wide range of essential techniques, including machine operation, pattern cutting, trim and elastic application, zipper installation, buttonhole creation, button and dome attachment, and even the use of polyester stuffing. These valuable skills will not only enable you to embark on various sewing projects but also enhance your abilities to handle sewing tasks at home.
