Have you caught people killing ducks in your local park or reserve?
Hi neighbours. Back when we ran stories on eel poaching in Auckland's parks and reserves in July, a few of our readers got in touch via Neighbourly to tell us they had caught people killing ducks. We heard one story about an elderly man killing a duck at Lake Pupuke and another about a woman stuffing a duck in her handbag! We're looking for more of your stories about this awful occurrence for a follow-up story on suburban animal poaching. Have you caught people killing ducks in your neighbourhood park or reserve? Did you get in touch with Auckland Council to report it? Do you feel local authorities are doing enough to stop this type of cruel behaviour? Put NFP in your post if it is not for publication.
