What do you think about another targeted rate?
Hi neighbours A massive storm earlier in the year caused widespread damage and power outages that went on for up to a week in some parts of Auckland. Now a finance officer at Auckland Council has floated the idea of a targeted rate. He suggested some of the money come from development funds. However, he suggested ratepayers could pay a rate because their property values would increase with undergrounded power. What do you think? Is it worth another rate? Let us know. cheers Jodi PS Put NFP in your post if it is "not for publication"
