Guava moth

David from Pakuranga Heights

Greetings, Neighbours, and Happy New Year. Xin nian jinbu.
The guava moth is on the rampage again. We can all help to limit this pest (which destroys the home orchard) by picking up fallen fruit and destroying it. I recommend a bread bag, tied up and binned. If you want to count the worms (larvae), drop the fruit in a bucket of water. You may be surprised, especially with plums. Happy hunting, David H.
