FANTASTIC GLENVAR ROAD UPDATE
The draft Regional Land Transport Plan is out and the Glenvar Rd realignment project has been included!!
We did hope that this would be the case when more funding for the project was approved last year after my presentation to the Auckland Transport Board and after your 1000+ submissions to the emergency budget on the importance of the project.
The good news is that the RLTP lists Glenvar Road as a priority project for construction to begin in 2021/22, which isn’t too far behind the original schedule.
The draft RLTP is open for feedback until 2 May. I will be resubmitting the 2000+ submissions I gathered from you all in 2018 when we last went through this process. If you didn’t submit last time - please click on this post or head to: at.govt.nz...
Let them know how important this essential safety is!

What's one highway or road that needs attention?
We've all been on a summer roadie and experienced first-hand the state of our roads.
If you've ever been stuck in a summer traffic jam, had near-misses on dangerous turns or feared for your life on clifftops (while the car behind you is tail-gating!) - you may have an opinion on this one.
Tell us what main road or highway you think needs some serious attention across the country, and why!

For a bit of fun, neighbours.
Have a good think about it, and let us know...
If you could invent one piece of technology to make life easier, what would it be?
Comment below with what you think would be a handy new invention - it may even already exist!

Some of these are easy, some will make you question everything… Ready? 😈
Humans purchase me to eat but then never eat me. What am I?
Do you think you know the answer? Don't spoil it for your neighbours! Simply 'Like' this post if you know the answer and the big reveal will be posted in the comments at 2pm.
