A big thank you to FreshChoice Half Moon Bay from the Manukau East Shopping Shuttle

Manukau East Council of Social Services (MECOSS), acknowledges FreshChoice Half Moon Bay with heartfelt thanks, for their valued donation of $150 towards the facilitation of the Manukau East Shopping Shuttle.
Run by volunteer drivers and volunteer companion shoppers, the Manukau East Shopping Shuttle is a door-to-door community shopping service for people who can no longer drive a car, have reduced mobility, or find it difficult to use public transport and/or to get out-and-about.
Considered vital by those who rely on the service, the Manukau East Shopping Shuttle, also helps to eliminate feelings of isolation, loneliness and lack of independence.
Thank you again FreshChoice Half Moon Bay. Your local community salutes you.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
