The recent growth of the Club membership was reflected in the turnout of teams involved for both Trophies and the recent upgrades to the Club facilities provided a wonderful backdrop and vantage point for watching the semi-finals and final.
We also witnessed some of our younger members figuring in the finals which also bodes well for the future.
Sandra Hilson, a 3rd yr Junior, skipped the Women’s Champions Team of Eileen Ponting and Nola Glenn to a well deserved close win and 21yr old Dan Markovina skipped the runners-up in the Men’s Division. The Club Mens Champions however, comprised two Junior players, one of whom was the skip. On their way to the win they outplayed two experienced teams largely comprising Senior players.
The Club’s congratulations go to Jason Blackmore and his team of Karl Glenn and Gareth Towler for their fine win.
A great day out in good company and plenty of good bowling on show. What more could we wish for?

* Frank Larking's playboat will be barged from the beach to Larking's Landing during the king tide in late February, where it will begin the next phase of its life as a play item on land (A special thanks to Total Marine Services who will be moving the boat at no charge, saving us many thousands of dollars!)
* New furniture, signage and paths will be built and installed throughout Hilders Park and Larking’s Landing Reserve from March.
* Concept plans to repair, strengthen and improve the recreational wharf will come to the Kaipatiki Local Board soon, before going out for community feedback.
