I have received numerous requests for shade at this playground, and know from experience how hot it can get. According to the Kaipātiki Strategic Play and Sunsmart Provision Audit 2018, it has “Some partial shade to main equipment provided in autumn/winter. Otherwise equipment is fully exposed to the sun.”
If the Local Board supports this, we will be able have them installed over the next few months, which will ensure that they are in place well before they are needed next Summer. :)

A small stretch of broken yellow lines will also be installed to discourage unsafe parking behaviour at the entrance to the slip road.
This is expected to provide a safe environment for the pick-up and drop off of all students, including those with restricted mobility.
(In case you weren't aware, this area is part of the road, and not school property).
Feedback closes Wednesday 27 March.
