Hi Neighbours, the mayoral challenger John Tamihere wants to sell almost half of the council-owned Watercare Services, which supplies urban water, and treats sewage. What do you think of someone else perhaps owning 49 per cent ? Read the story below.

Kia ora neighbours, are you aware much-needed infrastructure projects are being delayed for another year?
Auckland Council says it's because of community consultation and logistics, a local board member says the council has run out of money. How is this affecting you?

The Shepherds Park playground shade sails are coming! The playground is currently closed while the contractor is installing the wooden poles. The playground will be open as much as possible while the pole foundations cure. The sails are due to be fitted in 3 to 6 weeks :)

Despite the rain today, we know that these slides get red hot in Summer.
These shade sails will consist of two sets of "full coverage" sails, similar to those that we installed at Little Shoal Bay Reserve and Inwards Reserve, ensuring that the playground equipment is kept as cool as possible.

Congratulations to Jo Knight, chair of Pest Free Kaipātiki, and everyone who has worked so hard over a number of years to get to this point, including Richard Hursthouse, Keith Salmon and David Roberts.
The MOU is the formalisation of what has already proven to be a fruitful and collaborative partnership, and will enable Council to better support Pest Free Kaipātiki with the enormous task of eradicating pest plants and predators from our bush reserves and preventing the spread of kauri dieback. This fantastic work could not be completed without this huge group of dedicated volunteers. Thankyou to everyone involved!
