Coastal flooding and erosion issues now priority for council
Restoration plans for Little Bucklands and Bucklands Beaches could be in the works soon, with Auckland Council recommendations potentially coming before Christmas. Council portfolio manager for parks, sport and recreation Greer O'Donnell says it will be looking at cost-effective, long-term solutions to the problems and proposals could be made in the next three to six months.
