Rubbish ticket price gone up again

Tony from Glenfield

Good morning all have you all noticed the rubbish ticket price is up again?. It was about $ 5.20 for 240 litre bin and from July 17 the price went up to
$ 7.70.Not even 1 year it went up twice. This is getting ridiculous. Don't our rates cover it. Rates went up when a new mayor took over and nothing has been done .hedges not trimmed, rubbish along the kerb side and roundabout, footpath not repaired, wastewater leak through the footpath and down the drain and so on.Read the last page of the shore times in the neighbourly

Plastic beach rubbish

Bryson from Hillcrest

Two recent emus on Takapuna beach. One lithium battery picked up from the edge of the deck of the Harbour Bridge during the recent Hikoi. My guess is the other half is sitting at the bottom of the Waitemata Harbour.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
