Earlier this year the Kaipātiki Local Board requested and funded markings for 14 pedestrian crossings near school entrances (excluding any with traffic lights or that were already scheduled to receive an upgrade).

The pupil was told to get into a silver Nissan after school about 3.30pm on Rosedale Rd, Albany, on November 14. The man was described as being European, possibly in his 60s, of a large build and possibly with a moustache. The vehicle's number plate was believed to have begun with KM.
