New World Smeg knife collection scheem

Don from Bayswater

For those who don't know, New World Supermarkets have been running a nation wide campaign to induce you to shop there for the reward of as many Smeg knives as you can collect stickers for, at the rate of one sticker per $20.00 spent . the scheme was to run from 2 Nov. 2020 to 24 Jan 2021 while stocks last . Sounds really good. However, stocks have run out nation wide days ago with no plans for more , yet as at mid morning yesterday the checkouts at Devonport New World were still issuing smeg stickers for redemption. I might be wrong but to me the fact that the stickers for redemption are still being issued when there are no knives left is misleading and deceptive at best and a clear breach of the fair trading act. wonder what the commerce commission would think of it. 0800 943 600

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
