Culture Calendar: Auckland events to make time for this August
From a sprawling exhibition dedicated to the humble letter to a modern re-imagining of an applauded, time-honoured ballet, there are plenty of crowd-pleasing events happening in Auckland over the coming four weeks.
Music fans have an array of gigs to choose from, with folk singers, pop-rock bands and the country’s biggest EDM group set to take the stage at various venues.
In more left-field contributions to the calendar, there’s a festival dedicated purely to fried chicken and a performance of How to Train Your Dragon by the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.
