Dry weather water provision - what you need to know
14 February: Important information for rural residents running low on tank water. Council locations for people to fill up on water for domestic use are at Ōrewa Service Centre open today from 10am to 8pm. People can take up to 20L of water per person in their household per day, in handheld containers. Māori Wardens and council staff will be on site to assist. Several of our leisure centres including Stanmore Bay Pool and Leisure Centre and Albany Stadium Pool are also available for showering and water filling handheld containers. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
