Ellen Melville Centre is looking for volunteers!
Hey Residents - we are enjoying having our community centre open on Saturdays! How about Sundays too? - can be done with some volunteer help - a fun way to do good, meet your neighbours, make new friends and enliven the city centre for its residents and others too.
For the last few months Ellen Melville Centre has been open on Saturdays which has been a huge success! We would now like to look at having the Lounge open on Sundays but we will need some help! It would be great if we had the lounge accessible for the community 7 days a week. If you are interested please let them know!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
