Heavy rain watch
MetService has issued a heavy rain watch for Westland ranges south of Otira.
Valid: 24 hours from 8:00am Friday to 8:00am Saturday.
Forecast: Heavy rain may approach warning criteria. Above 1000 metres, most of this precipitation will fall as snow.
An update for severe weather will be issued by 10:00am today.
