Whakatane Hospital calls for non-urgent patients to avoid emergency department
Whakatāne Hospital has experienced 'significant spikes' in emergency department attendances recently, with a number of days around the 100 patient mark.
ED Clinical Lead, Tamsin Davies, renewed a call for those who do not need emergency treatment to keep the department for those that do.
“Treating those who do not need to be in ED has an impact on our care for those that do,” said Tamsin. Read more from the Hospital here.
