Whether in agreement with the works or not lets face it works need to be done but to cause such huge disruption to residents time of rest with heavy machines but worse beeping trucks and yelling throughout the night, night after night is simply not respectful and causing massive stress among friends and neighbours. I have written to Mayor Goff and Nikki Kay (the later) undertaken dialogue with council on this very unsatisfactory situation. My business is suffering, my personal wellbeing suffering.....I urge you to join us in voicing concerns to council whom have responded with stock std letter of considered but nothing can be done and works will continue...not good enough I say.....please contact me if you keen to have a say on this.....more voices mean more recognition by council of the affect of their decisions from behind a desk on those of us that live them! Thanks Lyle

Bowel cancer can strike at any age. Each year about 3,000 New Zealanders are diagnosed with the disease and more than 1,200 will die. That’s as many as breast and prostate cancer combined. But it is treatable – and beatable – if detected early enough. Check your symptoms
