Re: Next Crystillery Community Pop Up at the Riverhead Citizens Hall 23 Sept 2023 | 8am-12noon

Lisa from Riverhead

Kia ora koutou katoa, Shalom & Talofa lava,
On Saturday the 23rd of September 2023 we have the Crystillery Pop Up from 8am to 12noon at the Riverhead Citizens Hall.

For this month as Spring arrives in, we have a wonderful collective sharing and selling their creative pieces with you. As always we are supported by:
3 Lefts Art with Andy and Hanae who showcase, act and sell on behalf of local artists
Heritage Indian Café coupons for a coffee and Saturday morning home baked butter chicken pie! from Navdeep and Anmol (Namaste!)
Bruce Davey (Carver) and whānau who are Multimedia Artistes with their wonderful range of cards, gluten free wheat bags and jewellery
Crystillery Custom Goddess Jewels, Crystals Fossil and Stone Finds crafted and sourced by Riverhead local Leonard (and co-organiser)
Tarot (Rider Waite) Readings $40 - 30mins with Lisa with 22 years reading experience + vintage/retro curated pieces. LIsa will be starting at Crystal Visions Markets with the community of readers from October. Thank you Michelle from Crystal Visions x

And additional to the collective this month we welcome Innes Nisbet who will community to kōrero/chat about sustainability and rubbish reduction, Patrice Murdoch from Mandala Massage in the board room space offering massage! Helen Hare from our local Hare Krishna community with her lovingly hand-made beads and Carol Peace who enjoys creative knitting, colour and crafts positive message dolls. The children will love these and they are super well priced.

Locals Leonard and Lisa continue to thank local community and locality creatives for the continued support to get this pop-up market off the ground in Riverhead. We found out recently there is no funding for creatives in Riverhead! Something clearly needs to change at local council for this.

And of course, we all thank the local community for coming along, buying products that are hand crafted and having a kōrero/chat too. It has been refreshing to meet with people and hearing life stories in a post pandemic context now...

We look forward to welcoming you to the market on Saturday 23rd September 8am to 12 noon at the Riverhead Citizens Hall. Look for the signage outside!

Ngā tauwhirotanga o te wā

Next Pop Ups are:
October 22 | 1000 Goddesses Pop-up
November 11
December 9 | Christmas and Santa Pop- up

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
