Ashhurst glass recycling
Hi all - since Palmy CC has decided not to collect glass because they are short of drivers, the Ashhurst recycling container is absolutely chokka - I suspect non-residents are travelling some distance to fill it. My home glass bin has very few items per fortnight but I run the bar for a local club and I can easily fill two large 'fish bins' with empty beer and soft drink bottles in a fortnight. I understand that the recycling container is not part of the PNCC rubbish system - but who is? I rang the phone number on the side of the bin, but....no answer. I could go to Feilding transfer station but then I would be no better than those who fill our bin up!
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
