THE MARVELLOUS MAYFIELD CHRISTMAS MARKET - SUNDAY 11 DECEMBER
Get the family or a group of friends together and head to the Marvellous Mayfield Christmas Market on 11 December. This indoor/outdoor market will be centred in and around the picturesque Mayfield War Memorial Hall in Mayfield Village, Mid Canterbury and shoppers will be able to enjoy browsing through and buying from around 50 eclectic stalls offering everything from beautiful chalk-painted furniture, quality antiques and collectables, local arts and crafts, plants (including gorgeous lavender from Waimate's Hook Bush Lavender), clothing, wood work, jewellery, stunning rocking chairs from the 'Rocker Man', garden decorations, confectionery, second hand books, childrens' accessories, preserves and so much more. Bring your Christmas prezzie shopping list along and we are sure you'll go home with every item ticked off.
Entry to our event is free and shoppers will have an opportunity to win hourly prize give-aways. Our festive entertainment will help get you in the Christmas mood and we are currently in discussion with Santa's PA to make sure he schedules a visit to our market.
We'll also be featuring some tasty treats including espresso coffee, Devonshire teas, scrummy treats from Staveley Sausage Rolls, TruckNorris BBQ, Mayfield School sausage sizzle, cold drinks and delicious ice creams. Of course no visit to Mayfield is complete without a visit to the world-famous 'Overflow' Shop with its amazing array of vintage collectables and clothing, so we recommend you plan to spend the day in Mayfield on Sunday 11 December!!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
