A community leader calls him an environmental menace and says he must be stopped. Others are concerned he will walk away from his latest tyre dump.
But Michael Benny Le Roy, 59, a double bankrupt, says he is "trying to save the planet" and has "a good name in the tyre game".

Rangiora resident Arthur Linnell said he passed his local Salvation Army store last week saw several people going through the boxes and bags of donated items. He felt it was "absolutely disgusting" that good quality items were being stolen.

The team has experience in animal disaster management, international humanitarian aid, veterinary medicine, disaster victim identification, paramedicine, incident management, animal control, wildland firefighting and technical animal rescue.
Animal Evac is asking for donations to support their work on the ground in Australia and in responding to future emergencies. They are extremely grateful to the organisations and individuals who have already supported this deployment and helped make it possible.
