The Hope from Project is an initiative that aims to bring hope to Kiwis living in poverty. We do this by encouraging acts of kindness from more privileged kiwis through gifting tangible resources. The idea is to show donors where their contributions are going to and showing the receivers where it's come from- we want to visualise the process.
The project consists of two core beliefs that collaborate to aid poverty.
First, we aim to encourage action by donating tangible resources. This “gifting” acts as an embodiment of hope transferring from donor to recipient. Therefore, creating a bond of hope.
Second, we aim to remould the common mindset of fear and hesitancy to aid poverty by acting as a bridge between donor and recipient. We aim to eliminate the stereotypical doubt of where donations go by involving the donor from start to finish.
Further to this, the donations are embedded with the donor’s first name or company logos to customise and add a visual and intimate presence in the donations sharing the concept of hope further. We will be utilising social mediums and current relevant platforms to engage people and other groups in activities and initiatives that will help support poverty in Auckland. As a point of difference we will focus on corporations and public sector to aid social responsibility of these select organisations to further strengthen the relationship between the very different backgrounds.
