Takapuna North Community Trust is a not-for-profit organisation, working in partnership with Auckland Council and Devonport-Takapuna Local Board to bring community engagement services to five suburbs on Auckland's North Shore (Takapuna, Milford, Castor Bay, Forrest Hill and Sunnynook). The Trust provides and facilities a wide range of programmes and activities through the Takapuna Community Coordinator. Events and activities include Summer Fun and Winter Fun Preschool play sessions; Art classes; Beach Clean-ups; Intergenerational Dialogue event; Neighbours Day; Converge Youth event; Our Women's Network (OWN) events and other annual events such and photography competitions. Our main focus is to assist community members in identifying community issues through collaboration with each other, to establish a voice in decision-making in matters concerning them within the political context of their Local Boards and to empower them to resolve their concerns.
