StarJam is an award-winning non-profit organisation that empowers young New Zealanders with disabilities to achieve their full potential through music and performance workshops. We are a national organisation with programmes in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch. We connect our young people (6years - 25 years) with disabilities with their passions, peers and wider community. We provide weekly workshops in drumming, singing, dancing and guitar, as well as opportunities for our Jammers (our young people) to perform at public and private events, as well as StarJam’s regular community discos. We provide our Jammers with the opportunity to look the world in the eye as equals and experience the joy in their hearts and the belief that anything is possible. All young New Zealanders with or without a disability deserve the opportunity to be the best they can be. What matters to us is what our young people can achieve – not what they can’t. We hold a dancing workshop in Pakuranga on Thursday evenings. Please get in touch with our Auckland coordinator to enroll!
