SPCA (The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Incorporated) is New Zealand's oldest and largest animal welfare charity, with 28 animal centres and 6 vet partnerships across the country.
We help animals who are sick, injured, lost, abused or simply abandoned. We are the only charity with the power to protect all animals including prosecuting people under the Animal Welfare Act 1999. We rely entirely on the generosity of the community to do our work as we receive only 10% government funding.
