And the weather is expected to fine with temperatures of up to 24 degrees predicted - so bring plenty of water and a sun hat.

Travel alert: No trains will be operating this Friday ( 8 Dec)

Auckland Transport is advising people who usually travel by train to plan ahead and make alternative travel arrangements on Friday 8 December.

No trains will be operating from 2am on Friday until 2am on Saturday because of industrial action.
