We are committed to our mission of caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society. Since 1883, The Salvation Army has fought poverty and social and spiritual distress in New Zealand. Besides Church activities, we run The Bridge (drug and alcohol rehabilitation), Transitional Housing and Independent Living Units (both accessed only via Housing NZ), Reintegration Service, Recovery Church, help with food/clothing/furnishing assistance and life skills programmes, including Boxfit, Men's Support Group, Youth Group and other comfort and support.
