WHAT IS NEIGHBOURHOOD SUPPORT ROTORUA AND WHAT DO WE DO?
Neighbourhood Support Rotorua aims to reduce the amount of burglaries and other residential crime plus assist Civil Defence in the time of a declared Civil Emergency in Rotorua and surrounding rural areas by having providing essential information (known medical problems, resources and skills) from the database to the Emergency Management Centre.
By establishing Neighbourhood Support Groups neighbours get to know neighbours and suspicous activites/people are reported to the Police. The Neighbourhood Support Rotorua office provides information regards crimes in your area and warnings of known potential problems. Quarterly a newsletter is distributed through the Grouyp's Street Contact Person.
