We are not a class with a teacher: we are a club of like-minded people who want to improve their speaking skills and help each other to get stronger and more fluent in their presentations.

(Doing this actually starts the … View moreMost people visiting a Toastmasters club for the first time and being asked why they considered coming to the club usually describe themselves as "shy", "unable to talk in front of a lot of people" and "not skilled in speaking".
(Doing this actually starts the change process!) (That's why we ask!)
A few weeks later, they look back at how they began and report their transformation: "I talk to the boss now", "I don't quail at the offer to lead the office meeting" and "I have learned that I can learn"!
These are the success stories I love to hear.
