Check machinery/vehicles for birds’ nests and other dry materials before starting.
Make should the area round a rubbish fires is clear of dry material, has been watered down, or has gravel or to bare earth around fire.
You have a means to out fire out e.g. hose or machinery.

Know where to and how to turn off services like water, gas and electricity including solar.
Have a safe meeting place like the letter box, so firefighters can talk to occupiers – about are all persons and animals out of building, possible cause and location of fire.
A few weekends ago the brigade held our annual awards.
One firefighter received a 3 year certificate. 3 firefighters received a 5 year medal.
Alby Wyatt got a bar for 37 years service. Alby is our longest servicing member.
And the brigade make Eileen Thawley a Life Member.
We all had a great time at the Playhouse.
