The Assistant Librarian will be required to work every Saturday from 8.45am to 12.15pm during school terms, with flexibility occasionally to relieve for the Principal Librarian during other sessions and to attend ad hoc sessions e.g. the annual stocktake
The Assistant Librarian issues toys and processes returns, signs up new members, handles fees and fines, instructs and oversees the work of member volunteers, and maintains the toy collection and library in clean and working condition.
For this role, we are looking for someone who is honest, reliable, able to work independently and good with people, including in difficult situations. You will need some basic computer skills but all other training will be provided.
Previous cash-handling experience and ability to use Excel will be advantageous.
You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

On Wednesday the 3rd of October, we will be screening the movie "Small Foot" at the Penthouse Cinema in Brooklyn, at 11am. The movie is being released in New Zealand at the end of September, so join us and be one of the first to view it!
Tickets are $15 each for children and adult alike - the kids will receive a fun goodie bag, and there will be some great spot prizes up for grabs!
All money raised from the fundraiser will go towards purchasing new toys or replacing/repairing old toys.
