Community-based, peer-peer support group for heart event survivors and their families. The objective of the group is to help each other with long term personal rehabilitation and information so that members can lead long, fulfilled lives, provide better understanding of heart disease and to connect the community with heart health professionals.
Meets regularly each month at Sunnynook Community Centre. Heartbeats is supported by the Heart Foundation NZ, Waitemata DHB Cardiac Rehab Nurses Unit and local doctors and heart specialists
