Hawke's Bay SingFest: Saturday 1 April, 10 am, Hastings Baptist Church

More than 200 singers from 6 local choirs will meet in Hastings Baptist Church (300 Karamu Road), for a day of singing and sharing. Music commentator for the event is Christine Argyle, Radio New Zealand Concert presenter.

Choirs will perform individually during morning and afternoon sessions (with a break for lunch); the day’s programme will start at 10 am and conclude at around 3:00 pm with a combined piece by all participants, directed by Ms Argyle.

Entry just $5, payable at the door. Everyone welcome - it promises to be a great occasion with music for all tastes!

Hastings Choral is joined by guest soloists for this concert of music and carols for the festive season. Sunday 4 December 2016 at 2pm; St Matthew's Church, King St, Hastings.
Tickets available on the door: $25, or $5 for school students.
The programme includes carol medleys for soloists and choir, plus favourite and less well known carols.
Rhonda Browne, renowned mezzo-soprano based in the UK, grew up in Hawke's Bay and sang at St Columba's and Havelock North High school as a child. Richard Harris is familiar to audiences locally and across the North Island - he remains involved in the choir at St John’s Cathedral, Napier.
