As well as a full afternoon and evening of dazzling main stage artists, you can get involved in a fascinating range of workshops, browse our delightful eco-friendly stalls and sample sumptuous local food!
Your ticket and donation will go directly to protecting one of the last stands of remnant coastal forest and New Zealand’s largest estuary marine reserve. Over the last 6 years Okura Forest Festival has raised over $75K. This year we aim to have the biggest and most incredible festival ever and raise over $35K!

Where: Meet at the end of Duck Creek Rd in Stillwater. We will all be heading out to the Weiti River mouth. (Stillwater Recreation Reserve- 1A Duck Creek Road, Stillwater

When: Sunday 9 August, 10am Start
What to bring: Spades and gloves will be provided however please bring your own if you are able. Refreshments will be provided; participants are also invited to bring a plate (optional) to share goodies with your fellow planters, and lots of enthusiasm!

Come along and learn about how we can protect our last remaining wild places. This is a day to gain a deeper understanding of our natural world and the steps we can take to restore and protect it. However, the information provided is not specific to the local area, so all welcome.
Meet: 1 Duck Creek Road
When: 10am - 1pm
What to bring:
• Sensible footwear
• Long pants
• Gloves (if you have, otherwise they will be provided)
The guided walks will pass through various ecosystems and there will be an opportunity to learn easy techniques for invasive plant removal, in order to help protect remnant forests. There will be advise regarding invasive plant eradication on your own properties.

All tickets purchased go into the draw to win 1 of 3-weekend getaways at the historic Dacre Cottage located on beautiful Karepiro Bay in the Okura Bush Reserve! Winners announced at the festival.

Over the past few years as a community we have really transformed this place. 100s of invasive weeds have been removed and replaced with important native trees that provide forest cover, food for native birds and soil retention to protect the marine environment.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the revegetation process and what we can all do to protect the last of the remnant stands of indigenous forest that still exists in Aotearoa.
Sunday 14th April. 9am til noon. Bring a plate for shared lunch afterwards. (optional)
