The Devonport Volunteer Fire Brigade (DVFB) is part of the New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS). The brigade was established in 1885 and is one of the oldest brigades in the country.The volunteer members serve alongside career firefighters, each manning an appliance (DEVO811 and DEVO812). There are typically between 12 and 18 members who muster on Monday evenings. We respond to call outs, usually between Devonport and Hauraki, in evenings and weekends. The DVFB also regularly support community activities.
