I want to see Wellington compete internationally and nationally to attract people and businesses to the city. I have executive management experience in the private and public sectors and own my own business. I've travelled and have noted along the way what makes a great city. Most importantly, I'm a doer and I'm prepared to work with all Councillors around the table to get things done. I want to help make Wellington the best little city in the world.
In the Northern Suburbs I want to see increased investment in the northern suburbs to address the infrastructure and facilities deficit relative to other areas in the city. Facilities like our libraries and community centres provide the heart of the northern suburbs and I want to ensure they are strong. I have campaigned for this over the past three years and seen much progress. I want to take this to another level in the next triennium if elected.
I want to ensure the Council fully supports the development of Johnsonville Mall, continues to invest in the Newlands and Tawa shopping centres, and preserves the natural beauty and heritage in Glenside. Churton Park has waited 30 years for any investment in public facilities and it's great to finally see some traction.
