The permit will generally allow you to use mobility parking spaces, as well as use standard car parks, metered spaces, and time restricted parking zones for longer than the stated times. The permit is designed to hang from your vehicle’s rear-view mirror or to be displayed on the dashboard.

You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:
1. You are unable to walk and always require the use of a wheelchair, or
2. Your ability to walk distances is severely restricted by a medical condition or disability. For example, if you require the use of mobility aids, experience severe pain or breathlessness, or
3. You have a medical condition or disability that requires you to have physical contact or close supervision to safely get around and cannot be left unattended. For example, if you experience disorientation, confusion, or severe anxiety.
Your medical practitioner needs to confirm your eligibility unless you are renewing a long-term permit.

To get a permit you need to apply for one from CCS Disability Action, using either a printed application form or an online form from their website - see link under 'Read More'

It's a good idea to get a receipt from the seller and record anything they tell you about the item, as you may be covered by the Contract and Commercial Law Act if it turns out the seller has misrepresented the sale item.

If you are buying a vehicle privately then check out the article shown in 'Read More'.

If something goes wrong and you need to go to the Disputes Tribunal you will need to know their name, address and phone number.
