Meet the Candidates Event Postponed

Sam Donald from Greater Brooklyn Residents Association Incorporated

Due to both the extension to Alert Level 2 and Monday's announcement of a postponement of the General Election to 17 October 2020, the GBRAI Meet the Candidates event which was previously scheduled for Tuesday 25 August (to be held at St Matthews on Washington Ave) has now been postponed.

A new date will be advised as soon as possible, following coordination with all of the Rongotai and Wellington Central candidates.

This decision was made primarily due to the limit of 100 attendees under Alert Level 2 rules, along with the desire to run the event live and in person if at all possible (rather than exclusively over ZOOM). We are hopeful of a move back to Alert Level 1 in due course which would allow the event to proceed in a similar fashion to previous years.

Keep warm and stay safe!

Responses to our survey are requested by 9am Thursday the 28th. You might also like to send this survey form to other locals whom you think might like to have a say.

There is going to be a virtual public meeting over Zoom (as Alert Level 2 doesn't allow public meetings with more than 10 people):

Tuesday 26th May at 7.30pm
