Talented Court Theatre Company performers Scared Scriptless will provide the laughs with their hilarious brand of improvised comedy, and food trucks will line the square serving tasty treats.
“We are so excited to present this event and hope to see the community turning out for a great night,” AYC Chairperson Alyce Lysaght says. “Not only will it be a fun activity for young people and families, but money raised at Bite Nite will be donated to local youth organisation, 24/7 Youth Work.”
AYC have been busy organising the event as part of their key deliverables for the year. The event is being made possible with funding from the Ministry of Youth Development.
“As the event will be held at the start of winter, we encourage people to wrap up warm or bring a blanket. We’ll also have a photo booth full of props for people to take fun snaps in so they can take home a small piece of Bite Nite.”
Bite Nite will run from 5.30pm until 7.30pm at Baring Square East on Wednesday 7 June. Entry will be a gold coin donation. For more information, check out the Ashburton Youth Council Facebook page.
