Vintage Dutch “Hindeloopen” hand painted wall clock.
This clock, which I guess dates from the fifties, always worked perfectly until I hung it in another room. It needs to be completely level and as my walls are old kauri sarking that seems to be hard to achieve. It may also need a bit of a clean. The clock is hand painted which originated in a Dutch village called Hindeloopen. It works by pulling up the brass weights . That is why the clock should be positioned fairly high on the wall. Anyone out there who, like me, would love to bike more, but have difficulty getting their bike on the rack on the bus ? It's sometimes necessary, so as to avoid steep hills and roads where I don't feel safe.
