REMINDER: ELECTORAL BOUNDARY CHANGE SUBMISSIONS MUST BE IN BY FRIDAY DECEMBER 20

Keith from Panmure

REMINDER FROM THE PANMURE COMMUNITY ACTION GROUP: ELECTORAL BOUNDARY CHANGE SUBMISSIONS CLOSE ON FRIDAY!

Submissions to the Electoral Commission on the proposed boundary changes that would see much of Glen Innes, Panmure, Point England, and parts of Mount Wellington carved off the Maungakiekie electorate and added to Manukau East electorate with Papaptoetoe and Otara close THIS FRIDAY.

Feedback we are receiving on this issue strongly suggests that the two main political parties, Labour and National, are already treating this change as a "done deal" and are more than happy for it to happen. If you don't want this boundary change to be forced on our community, make sure that you get your opposition to it in before Friday.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
