Neglect of East Auckland road signs and traffic lights
Pomarie Neighbourly Whanau,
I'm not normally one to complain about living in Tamaki Makaura #paradise BUT who do I alert and get an IMMEDIATE (not 8 months later) response re ACC incorrect sign direction bolted tight (intersection of Jellicoe and Pilkington Roads after Hospice For Humanity group of shops heading towards Panmure township - both signs are pointing in the COMPLETE OPPOSITE direction (I realise we all have GPS now - but really?) AND the delapidated state of the traffic light poles at intersection of Apirana Avenue and St Heliers Bay Road which are leaning all over the place/inoperable and just a hazard. Hit by a truck/double decker bus I'm guessing BUT (unusually considering the area these traffic lights are in and the traffic they have to control) NOTHING done over past 3 4 weeks. I travel this route daily and it truly disappoints me - along with the neglect to the properties moved to property just after the newly created Eastview Road/Line Road intersection. What is going on?

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
